Dear Dharma Friends,
Funds are urgently needed for cataract surgery for Venerable Lama Tsang Tsing. This surgery was recommended last year by his eye doctor, however Lama-la did not proceed at that time due to lack of funds. Upon his return to the USA, he saw his ophthalmologist who recommended that the surgery be done this year. Postponing this surgery could cause possible complications. Therefore, for the sake of his vision, Lama-la has decided to proceed with the surgery this March and surgery dates have been scheduled.
The cost of the surgery is $6,500 and this amount needs to be raised by March 1, 2018.
I hope that everyone will give as generously as they can to help preserve Lama-la’s vision so he may be able to continue to benefit beings with his Empowerments, Teachings, and Blessings. He has touched many of your lives in profound ways. Lama Tsang Tsing is very quiet about his Dharma activities and does many things for our benefit that we are unaware of. Now is the time for us to provide benefit for him.
Anyone who makes a donation towards Lama-la’s surgery will accumulate a great deal of merit. In general, the Buddha Dharma states that the more worthy the object of our generosity, the more merit and benefit there is for the donor. There is certainly no one more worthy of our generosity and our help than Venerable Lama Tsang Tsing. We are extremely fortunate to benefit from such a truly authentic Dharma Master. Preserving Lama-la’s health preserves the Shangpa and Karma Kagyu Lineages.
Donations are tax deductible. Checks may be sent to Kagyu Dakshang Chuling earmarked for “Lama’s surgery” and mailed to: KDC, 215 East 33rd Ave., Eugene, OR 97405.
If you would like a receipt, please indicate so and one will be sent.
Thank you,
Ani Kunzang
